Agri Market Data for Investment and Growth (AMDIG)
Why AMDIG Community of Practice?
AMDIG is a strategic partnership that seeks to encourage widescale application of evidence-based interventions to unlock markets and private sector action as engines of inclusive agricultural transformation. It is vital to foster collaborations among NGOs, public organizations, academia, and private sector (such as agro-processors, input suppliers, transporters, exporters, retailers, financiers) to facilitate knowledge-sharing and co-creation, resources pooling, and access to specialized expertise. These cooperative efforts will stimulate innovation, expand market opportunities, boost economic growth, develop fully-functioning, competitive value chains and foster job creation as SMEs evolve into data-ready entities. The design is to leverage a cross-cutting market systems approach to support systemic change in Kenya’s food markets so as to improve profits for small businesses and smallholder producers and laying the groundwork for reliable access to nutritious food.
